The grant of legal aid (public funding for legal
representation) is unusual in relation to motoring
offences. Firstly, it is means tested. Secondly, even if
the applicant is on a sufficiently low income the court
will still need to be satisfied that there is either a
risk of custody or some unusual complication concerning
the issues in the case.

representation on a private basis. Our fees are based on
extremely competitive hourly charging rates together
with fixed fees for trials and other types of hearing. It is unlikely that
our rates can be bettered given
the quality of service offered.
